The Case for Optimism

I’ve been listening to the TED Radio Hour every now and then and always have been impressed with its great variety of interesting topics and outstanding audio production quality. Yesterday, I even downloaded the NPR One app to listen to an exclusive chat between NPR host Guy Raz and TED’s Chris Anderson where Chris reveals that listening to ideas from a wide range of topics enables you to get a bird’s-eye view of the world and see the similarities and connecting dots in all those different areas.

Yesterday, I also listened to the latest episode of the TED Radio Hour The Case for Optimism, which is probably one of the best episodes ever. It’s compiled of selected TED talks and personal interviews with people like former vice president and environmentalist Al Gore, the founder of the world peace game John Hunter, cognitive neuroscientist Tali Sharot, family activist Mia Birdsong and psychologist and co-founder of Surprise Industries Tania Luna.
