    Leider ist diese sehr interessante Dokumentation mit dem Untertitel Eine Gourmetreise zu Amerikas Kaffee-Gurus, die ich per Zufall als Wiederholung auf tagessschau24 sah, nicht mehr in der ARD Mediathek verfügbar. Sie wird aber offenbar an Neujahr nochmals wiederholt. Auf YouTube gibt es leider nur in schlechter Qualität einen kleinen Ausschnitt daraus.

    Braune Brühe, die seit Stunden auf der Hitzeplatte vor sich hinbrodelt – da schüttelt es den Kaffee-Kenner. In vielen, vor allem ländlichen Gebieten Amerikas, ist das aber noch bittere Wirklichkeit. Dabei gedeiht im wilden Westen längst eine Kaffee-Kultur, die für viele zum Lebenselixier geworden ist. Bio-Bohnen, handgeröstet. Espressi, 90 Dollar die Tasse und exakt 26 Sekunden gebrüht. Coole Cafés, Kreativschmieden für Hollywood-Grössen und Gourmettempel zugleich. Und Kaffee-Bauern, die in Hawaiis Höhenlagen braunes Gold produzieren, das mehr als 100 Dollar das Pfund einbringt.

    I recently wrote another article for the Webguys‘ Magento blog mentioning various podcasts I like to listen to, some of which are not just about web development, but also about entrepreneurship, technology, economics and news in general. Only one of them is in German language though.

    Today on my way back from Zürich I listened to the Tim Ferriss Show for the first time and was blown away by episode 48 where Tim talks to Marc Goodman, FBI futurist, on high-tech crime and how to protect yourself (online). They go deep into the digital underground to expose the alarming ways criminals, corporations, and even countries are using emerging technologies against you and some simple steps you can take to decrease your vulnerability.

    Most days, The Tim Ferriss Show is the #1 business podcast on all of iTunes, and it’s been ranked #1 (of all podcasts) on many occasions. It was also selected to iTunes’ “Best of 2014.”
